Forum topic: notify user if trasncode fails

Hi All,
i'm developer for an arts site ( www.digitalfringe.com.au ) where artists upload their own work, unfortunately quite a few dont transcode (occasionally codec issues, often people use the Acquire from URL and put in something that doesn't work)

to save me time and hassle of checking each entry can anyone suggest a way to automatically send the user an email reporting there is a problem ? (and probably delete the node as well, since i've disabled users re-uploading content to avoid someone replacing a video after it has been checked as suitable by the curators)

thanks,
Joseph

There is actions integration in op_video, but it only triggers a 'transcode successful' action. I need to put in a 'transcode not successful' action.

Actions can be setup to trigger emails, delete nodes, etc.

You could hire me to implement this. It would take very long.
